We’re crossing the battlefield, cadets!

Beta 0.20.2 is ready for you doods to bug test the hell out of. Thanks for your patience and awesomeness as we’ve worked through these last few updates to get the bugs with Vickie’s new content sorted out. At this point, Vickie’s finale is looking very close to where we’d like it to be, and we’re just one final march away from wrapping up her stable release.

In addition to adding almost all of the voice acting, we targeted a major issue with the Achievements log that interfered with loading Story Data. Now that this is resolved, fewer of you should have issues starting a game only to find that the house is…whoops, empty!

We tweaked and added a number of text hints in older content to hopefully help you doods stay on track and not get “stuck” as easily while exploring the party. Based on ongoing feedback we’ve also decided to remove in-game advertising from the game world (TVs, billboards, etc.).

We’ve started to integrate the in-game options into the title screen, so players can control settings without having to be in-game. The UI for this isn’t fully functional yet, but we’re laying down the framework. We’ve improved UI alignment for Ultra Wide monitors, too.

There’s also a sweet new Achievement called “The Magic Number” for all of our completionist partiers to work toward.

We know you guys are looking forward to the stable release for Vickie’s ending, and we are hyped to share it with you. Once that’s done, we have a roadmap of cool shit leading up to House Party’s release from Early Access. We can’t thank you dudes enough for all of the support and testing feedback you’ve given us throughout our development journey.

Enjoy the Vickie content and check out the patch notes below.

House Party Early Access Exit and Roadmap

After a long and incredible journey, we are getting ready to pull House Party out of Early Access!

After our stable build of the latest update goes live in the coming weeks, there will only be one more content update before we officially leave Early Access.  Vickie’s finale coming to a close marks the completion of all of the content we have planned for our male protagonist, and the next couple of updates are going to be mostly polish, alongside the long-awaited ability to play as a female main character.

We’re sure you have questions, but we have answers!  So strap in.  Here we go!

When is House Party leaving Early Access?

We’re glad you asked!  Here’s our tentative timeline of what we currently have planned (updated after 0.22.0 release on 4/14/22):

That said, we want to thank everyone who has purchased, played, and supported House Party throughout these years of development. We can’t stress enough how none of this would have been possible without you.  The biggest thing that kept us going through all of the journalist negativity and attempted censorship we’ve had to deal with over the years, was our overly positive player review scores and feedback.  Today, House Party has supportive press reviews, a steady player base, and is accepted in both censored and uncensored forms across various streaming platforms.  Additionally, if you’ve been paying any attention to our latest teasers, you’ll know that we’re about to take things to a whole other level, all thanks to your support, feedback and encouragement.  House Party’s graphics have been improved.  We’ve added globalization and translation.  We fleshed out the storyline and even added extra things we never planned for like the combat system, cutscenes and controller support.  We’ve taken your suggestions to heart throughout this whole process, and we’re always trying to make House Party the best it can be for all players.

What’s going to change now that House Party is leaving Early Access?

Part of this process involved making changes to the game, the most significant of which, is that we now have a base game with a Steam “Mature” rating, and we have a Steam “Adult Only” rated DLC patch.  Initially, the DLC patch’s purpose was simply to uncensor any nudity or sexual content in the game, but since then a lot of the mature content has been moved from the base game to the Explicit DLC patch.  We are also now developing bigger, longer, and explicit cutscenes specifically for that content patch.

Because of this, and because we plan to add more content specifically to the Explicit DLC patch, we will soon be adding a small charge for the DLC patch.  We wanted to let you know ahead of time, since if you already own the game, you can still (at the time of this writing) download the patch for free, and if you downloaded it at any point while it is free, it will remain free permanently.  This price increase will only affect new players, and the base game price will remain unchanged even after we exit Early Access.

We will continue to maintain this optional AO rated patch as a counter to the changes the “powers that be” require us to make to allow the base game to maintain an “M” rating. It’s a necessary thing so that this game and our future games can continue to thrive both in and out of the mainstream, ensuring the stability of our company, which in turn means much more cool stuff to come down the line! House Party is all about choice, and we are committed to delivering the choice of adult content to our 18+ players, and to combat the regulations surrounding this type of content in video games as opposed to gratuitous violence, and exposing the hypocrisy and discrimination of creators of this type of content by the people who make these silly rules.

What happens after House Party leaves Early Access?

Even though we’re ready to call the base game “finished”, this is only the beginning for House Party.  We have some wild stuff planned post release!  We will continue releasing “quality of life” updates after the game leaves Early Access, and we have plans for exciting DLC packs in the future to add more content to the game, and to give players more options.  We’ve already hinted at what the first one will be. Shortly after House Party’s full release and exit from Early Access, we will drop our first-ever DLC pack featuring the “mystery character” we’ve been teasing!  We think your minds will be blown when we drop our full reveal on that.  It’s coming soon!

Other than that, we will also be working on porting House Party to a VR version, as well as shifting more of our staff to working on our sequel game, Office Party.  Expect to see a lot more of Eek! Games in the future!

It’s an exciting time for us and we’re happy to be sharing it with all of you.  We’re so thankful you all have come on this development journey with us, and we’re stoked for everything in store for the future!

House Party 0.20.1 Released to Alpha Testers

You guys are fucking rockstars! You playtested the hell out of our last testing update and gave us a huge amount of community feedback.

It may have buried our programmers under a mountain of tweaks and bug fixes but hey, that’s the point of testing! We’ve worked our asses off these past weeks dousing those bugs in heavy doses of Raid and adding further polish to Vickie’s ending, and now we have a fresh alpha build to see what needs to be focused on next.

If you have nothing else to do, and your eyes like to bleed from reading long lists of minor changes, check out the patch notes we’re gonna link below. If you have a house party to get back to and only want to get a quick run-down, just know that most of this patch is important bug fixes from the previous Alpha and general update polish.

Here are some of the most notable changes included in Alpha 0.20.1:

  • We’ve greatly increased the rewards granted by Ashley after having completed the “Mission Impawsible” Opportunity by lying to Derek. Without burning down the house, of course.
  • Many of the previously pending and unwritten dialogues have been cleaned up.
  • Emotive behaviors during conversations and cutscenes have been improved.
  • We took care of issues with characters remaining clothed throughout entire cutscenes and gave the Player limited control over certain clothing items worn during POV intimacy scenes.

As always, releasing content updates that are as quality as possible is our main priority, so we’re testing vigorously to iron out bugs and make Vickie’s ending as close to perfect as it can be. With that said, we’ve a lot of awesome shit planned to drop after it’s completed, and we’ll be trying to push this update out as cleanly and quickly as possible.

With a hot-as-sin female playable character, the ability to play House Party in VR, and more exciting mystery DLC character announcements coming soon, there’s so much we’re looking forward to working on and sharing with you all!

Note: We will no longer support the 32 bit version of House Party across any platforms. Switching from Unity 2019 to Unity 2020 has brought us compatibility issues for the 32 bit build and Microsoft is quickly phasing out support for 32 bit versions of Windows. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

Note: Older save files may no longer be compatible. Custom stories may no longer function as intended. No translations for this version have been completed at this time.

House Party 0.20.0 Released to Alpha Testers

Vickie’s content is restructured and ready to explore! The order of some dialogues, availability of specific responses, and required actions to progress with Vickie have noticeably changed, and Opportunity UI texts/progress notes for Vickie’s Opportunities (“Training Day” and “Good Guests Gone Bad”) have been updated and improved.

Best of all, when you complete Vickie’s Training, she’ll now offer to help convince your favorite NPC to join you and her in a smoking hot threesome! With new threesome cutscenes and five new threesome animations, there’s a ton of arousing intimacy rewards to enjoy.

Be sure to bring your best schmoozing skills to the table to unlock these steamy rewards, because some NPCs will be more difficult to convince than others. Sure, a few…”enthusiastic” partiers will jump at a shot with you and Vickie, but for others you’re gonna have to put in some work to increase their feelings of friendship and romance towards you. And for a few even pickier doods, be ready to help them with big tasks before they get naughty with you and Ms. Vixen!

Listen closely to the background chatter for a variety of clues about hidden items, NPC backstories, and endgame story content, too. There are a lot of fresh conversations to hear around the house!

Want help navigating the party? Check out the wide variety of new tutorials in the Original Story. You can opt into these via the check box in the Main Menu or Title Screen UI. By default, they’ll show up once while playing and can be reset using a button in the Main Menu.

You may notice additional story changes, as well:

  • Once Vickie arrives or Rachael’s dares are complete, there’s now closure for why no more dares will occur.
  • If you’ve been nice to Katherine, she’ll give you back Patrick’s phone instead of keeping it.
  • “Hey, go over there” dialogues are changed for several characters, so when/how these options present themselves may be affected based on ongoing content/Player decisions.
  • And if Frank gets knocked out during the first Derek Smash! fight, you’ll no longer have to complete the rest of the Derek Smash! content. Just get in there and back up your buddy!

We also upgraded to Unity 2020 as part of this release, so you dudes will be the first set of players to test House Party built using Unity 2020, and we reworked the input configuration UI as a precursor to introducing full controller support. Full controller support isn’t quite here yet, but we’re laying down the framework for it.

Have fun playtesting the new ending, doods. We’re working hard to get Vickie’s finale all wrapped up in 0.20, and then we’ve got even more awesome shit coming. The female playable character will not be available in this update, but we’re planning to start working on her once Vickie’s new content is complete!

House Party 0.19.3 Released to Beta Testers

If you are a Patron or would like to learn how to become one, click here.

Get balls deep in knockout new content, because Beta 0.19.3 is ready to explore!

The Frank storyline is officially complete! All the story content has been added, and we’ve fine-tuned a ton of additional things you can check out in our patch notes below.

There will still be a few more bug fixes before the stable release, but there won’t be new Frank playable content added between now and 0.19.4. If you’ve been waiting for his storyline to be done and the voice acting to be added, now’s your time to dive in and check out all the new shit!

In the update, almost all of the voice acting for the new content is up-to-date, too. You’ll no longer be reading text with only music in the background because our amazing voice actors did a great job of bringing the new dialogue to life. Enjoy experiencing the Frank storyline with full immersion, dudes.

BEEP, BOOP… We also made it so Compubrah can now scan Frank. Be sure to check out the wacky new gameplay, and enjoy the various stat-boosting benefits involved!

Our artists made several minor visual adjustments, added a T-Posing floating animation pose, and included some sweet cutscenes in this update. Check out Vickie’s current ending and Rachael’s “Dare Interference” finale to see exactly what’s new!

You can get intimate faster now, too. Since recent updates increased how long it takes to recharge your “intimacy fluid,” we made it so you can earn new bonuses to your nasty bits recharge rate. Practicing your climax skills as part of Vickie’s “Training Day” Opportunity will now let you get back to tumbling in the sheets…or against the wall…or on the floor…much sooner.

We also fixed some bugs specifically reported by players during the previous Alpha updates. The Game Grumps balloon no longer gets “stuck” when saving and loading, an issue with the keychain becoming inaccessible when mounted to Patrick’s crotch has been fixed, previous problems with music restarting and getting cut off are gone, and the FOV slider no longer resets itself upon entering the Graphics menu.

What the fuck are you waiting for? Be the first to check out all the new shit, and be sure to let us know what you think! Our team has had an awesome time working on the Frank updates so far, and we hope you dudes have been enjoying the new content!
